The Skidaway Marine Science Foundation uses the funds collected from membership dues and larger donations advance the research and education on the Skidaway campus, and to fund projects not appropriate governmental funding.

A partial list would include:

• Research scholarships for undergraduate internships
• Expense of scientists or students attending professional conferences or meetings
• Support scientific and professional meetings on the Skidaway campus
• Production costs of Skidaway Campus Notes newsletter

On occastion, the Foundation funds small research projects directly for scientists and educators on the Skidaway Island campus or the purchase of research equipment.

Underwriting and sponsorships are available for individuals or corporations who would like to make a donation for a particular project. (ie: The [corporate name] Research Internship Scholarship)
